Poetic...and point on. Thanksgiving should be a way of life, not a celebrated one-day event. And, let me encourage you--intention in nurturing this quality in your children DOES make a difference. My kids are older--17. 15 &amp; 12--and all three are grateful and don&#39;t have to be reminded to thank others when a kindness is extended (even stuff like a ride home from sports or school).<br /><br />This doesn&#39;t surprise me having spent just a little time with you :). Thanksgiving doesn&#39;t remind me to be Thankful...I really strive for that moment to moment.<br />I see Thanksgiving more as a remembrance [for what first created it] and a time to get together with extended family and enjoy a meal together. Something rarely shared once we all move out and marry. It&#39;s nice to get together once in a while.
