Custom Clothing? Sign Me Up!

If you're anything like me, you balk at the notion of ordering clothing online, for fear that the items will not fit properly.

I have long been skeptical of one item in particular: the dress!  I have extreme difficulty labeling my figure with one particular size, so dresses are always a challenging item for me to select.

But when I heard about eShakti, a clothing company that custom sizes any of their products at the customer's request, I was intrigued!

Upon receiving a dress to review I was immediately impressed.  Not only did it fit well, but the fabric was of wonderful quality!  Although the dominant fabric of the dress was light, it was lined well enough that I didn't need an additional slip.  The skirt stayed in place, and hung well outdoors.

All in all, I'd say I could get used to having my dresses sewn just for me!

What do you think - could you get used to custom made clothing?

*Edit* - eShakti is offering a $20 credit to their store to three winners!!!  In order to enter, please leave a comment here telling me which type of clothing is hardest for you to shop for.  Additionally, you may subscribe to Muthering Heights, and follow me on Twitter.

Please leave a separate comment for each entry!  This giveaway will only be open until Friday, January 29th!!

{I always give my honest opinion on the products I review - stick around to discover more of my favorites!}

Girl, you are TINY! And the dress looks great on you. I'm not so much of a dress girl.

Funny you should say that...I've been dreaming of having taylor made clothes since I was in middle school! I'm short and have weird dimensions and it's SO hard to find slacks and dresses that fit!

In fact, if I were tremendously wealthy I would have a taylor and a chef before a maid :)

This is such a cute dress! I checked out the site and they have some neat stuff. Now if I just had some extra money laying around....lol. :-)

Their clothes are so pretty! There are so many dresses that I would like to get from them - could be dangerous! I don't have too difficult a time finding dresses to fit. My problem is finding pants that fit since I am short, have a smaller waist than hip/thigh so that makes finding pants that fit me sort of difficult without having to have some part of the pant tailored in some way.

Yay, a giveaway! I have a hard time finding dresses and shirts that fit the most. I have a very small frame so things are usually too big across the chest and shoulders compared to them fitting my hips. I would LOVE to actually try something custom made!

Wow, you look stunning! But you always do. :)

I recently stumbled upon eShakti (it's in my bookmarks) because their made-to-order clothes intrigued me. My boobs are always hard to fit into clothes, not just because they're eh-hm, big, but because I have broad shoulders too.

PANTS! I have thick thighs & have trouble finding pants that aren't too tight & uncomfortable. Thanks for the chance to win.

I would love to have a pair of custom jeans. I just can not find any that fit me, and that don't stretch out after 15 minutes of wearing them.

I have the hardest time finding pants, usually, but now tops are a problem because of the milk trucks I'm currently driving around! They make shirts impossible to fit nicely anymore without giving off a large chested effect which I'm not a huge fan of!

I'm pretty sure I'm a subscriber, but you can double check me and if I'm not ignore this comment. You're in my Google Reader if that's the same thing....

By the way, the dress is very becoming on you! I don't see enough ladies wearing dresses anymore. They're so feminine and pretty! You look great!

Oooh, love the dress. Hmmm, let's see. Jeans are hard for me to buy. I guess it's because I still insist on shopping in the Juniors department even though I probably need to move on to the Womens' section.

Well, I barely made it before the deadline. Guess I should check my Google Reader more often. :)

The hardest thing for me to shop for is probably jeans because I have a small waist and big hips. Even when I weighed 95 pounds, this was a problem.
