One of my all time favorite holiday traditions from my childhood is that of cutting down, then decorating our Christmas tree. We nearly always visited the same tree farm, and definitely returned home with a Douglas Fir. Aside from the year that Rose was in the NICU, this has been the only year that I haven't accompanied my family on our annual festive errand.
As I can not be a part of the merriment this year, why not flashback to one such outing?
Although our juvenile hats may indicate otherwise, I was a sophomore in college, and my sister was a senior in high school in this photo.
Regardless of the years that pass, or the age of its members, procuring the Christmas tree remains - for me - one of the most treasured aspects of celebrating!
{Love a good flashback? Make sure you never miss one!}

What a good time together with you family. Aren't sisters the best? :)
So cute!! I love hats! You still look the same!
Very cute together! You could be mistaken as twins. Sisters are best friends forever!

Ebie's Friday Photo Flashback.
Cute hats! This tradition..we still do as you know..love it too! Come say hi :D
It could have been yesterday, save for the hats. But those are cute too.
I've never done the find your own tree thing!
What a great memory!! My husband has stupid allergies to real trees so we have to have a fake one and I miss the smell of a real tree filling up the room. That's OK, I fake it with candles - not the real thing, but they'll do in a pinch. Have a great weekend ~ ♥
nice photo...
You guys look great! What fun memories!
What a great memory. And I like the hats.
You and your sis look so adorable! The love that you have for each other just shines through in the picture.
You both looked like twins. Love the hats.

Thanks for the visit. Love your hats too.
We never cut down our own tree, but decorating the tree was always one of my favorite Christmas memories.
I loved that Christmas Tree hunt!
