And finally, here we are.
We have come to the end of my school photo series - my twelfth grade picture!
At my high school, one's senior picture could be any photo the student chose to submit. I have always fancied the idea of all the students posing in one of those drape-sort of outfits, but my school offered a bit more freedom. For the girls, this usually meant a submission of a fake-tanned-highlighted-hair-blowing-in-the-wind type of shot, but not for me.
While certainly not my favorite image of myself, I'm satisfied with my senior picture. It feels very Vermeer-esque.
I've enjoyed this series, have you? Do any of you plan to post class photos?

oh I love it. My senior picture that went in the yearbook I was wearing a toga top. I had to go to the school board to get it approved. I said that no one had told us that our senior pictures had to be in "school-approved clothing." :) Unfortunately, now I wish I had put this other one in there. Oh well, I was 17.
That is a beautiful picture!
Oh my gosh, how beautiful!!! Love it!
I think you still look just as young now! I really do!
It is Vermeer-esque (but where is the earring!)...I can totally see why you picked it. You are the only other person I know who chose a photo in which she wasn't smiling for her senior portrait. I wonder what that says about us?
I got a class photo that's waiting to be scanned. How nice of your school to give you some freedom with your photos. We never had that in our part of the globe. We all looked virtually the same in togas.
It's a beautiful photo of you. But you know what, my fave is your first grade photo :) I just love it.
You look lovely. Mine...not so much!
You look gorgeous in that pic! I actually had my firth grade class photo lol..
Would you like to see how I look like 29 years ago, come and see!
It really is Vermeeresque! Ha! Nice. Your pose and coloring are both very similar!
My senior picture is in a lovely V-neck top thingy that matched all the other girls in my class. Everytime I look at it I remember how SERIOUSLY sick I was when it was taken.
Your picture is FAB. No wonder you chose it!!!
You look so beautiful in that picture!
I am sharing my early twenties
A lovely photo indeed! It's funny how senior pics are so different these days. And so much more expensive. I was astonished at the small packages and high prices.
I've enjoyed your posts of old pics. (not that they are 'old old'...lol. you know what I mean)
I just posted my freshman or sophmore year softball picture. LOL
I have loved your series. it´s been really fun to get to know you that way.

Beautiful picture, and it's good you still have a picture of yourself. I don't have, I guess... only when I was in twenties.
photo shop a pearl earring in there Jessie. Thats a great Senior picture.
Love it....I did something similar for my senior picture and now I still regret I didn't go with the standard drape....yours is beautiful. I decided to go with kindergarten and see how far I can make it...

Gorgeous! Such a beautiful-natural photo and I think I did also have that ribbed shirt :)
You look lovely! You really have a timeless look here.
So much fun! I've missed all your other photos... I'll have to go back and look.
You are adorable!
Hugs,
Traci
I've really enjoyed this series too!
I need to go through old photos at my parents house and dig out some of my school pictures, I'd love to do a school picture series.
I really like this...it's soft. In fact, it matches the types of photos you share right here on your blog. It almost looks like it could be an old painting.
Am I the only one who sees this? Let me go read the other comments real quick........Ok, so maybe I am just CRAZY, but that's what I see! (Do I need glasses???) LOL
I'll consider sharing some of my old pics on my blog, perhaps! (Just let me look for some extra time to squeeze in! ;))
I love the series of your school photos.. I've seen them all.. Those showed a pattern on how you grew up to be a pretty lady from a cutie school girl..
You are so brave! My senior pic leaves a lot to be desired! Love the flashback!
Beautiful shot!! My senior photo was awful!
Very nice picture to conclude your series with! You look very pretty and smart and mature.
You're right, it does look much like "Girl with the Pearl Earring", that pose.
I'd love to post a few of my photos, but sadly don't have a scanner. Maybe someday.
Love that photo! I might post some of my class pics one of these days. I did recently post some 80's pics on facebook - fun stuff!
